TRANSOM
STARBOARD
Polishing the silver:
During the day I am working on the hull – and in the evenings scraping the 15 layers of paint off and polishing any of the metalwork that I have removed from the hull. I made a joke earlier in this blog about the outside of the boat having been painted, re-painted, plastered, wall papered and the painted (multiple times) again. When I removed these vents I was somewhat bemused to discover what can only be described as ‘wallpaper’ underneath them. There are photos to prove it!
POLISHING
WALLPAPER
I seem to remember this pattern from my childhood – I am sure I have seen it on the walls in my great uncle’s kitchen!
